DIPLOMA IN NAUTICAL SCIENCE (DNS) – LEADING TO B.Sc NAUTICAL SCIENCE
The above program is approved by Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India. On Successful completion of the semester 1&2, A Diploma in Nautical Science is awarded by University. Then the candidate undertakes the sea phase for 18th months comprising semester 3, 4&5 of on board ship via DLP training. On successful completion University will award the trainee with Advance Diploma in Nautical Science, after which trainee is required to undergo 4 months post-sea training in any institute approved by D.G. Shipping, Govt. of India. On successful completion of the training & Passing the exam he will be awarded with a certificate of Competency by D.G. Shipping & B.Sc. Degree in (Nautical Science) by University.
10+2 with PCM with minimum 60% marks or B.Sc. Graduates / Diploma with 60% marks in Aggregate and minimum 50% marks in English at 10th or 12th level is must. Should be fluent in written & spoken English.
Not exceeding 25 years on the date of commencement of training.
Medically fit with eyesight 6/6, without external aids. No colour blindness.
